Big Lie from Big Government on Ventnor, NJ Boardwalk

Big Lie from Big Government. Even though Sandy was a freak storm that stood off shore for three days, and then made a rare left turn that instantly shifted winds on a full moon high tide, there was little or no flooding to beachfront homes south of Long Beach Island. Most flooding and damage were along the back bays, where sand dunes are useless.

Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate, and Longport built three foot wood and concrete seawalls after 1944 Hurricane. Those seawalls and wide beaches protected beachfront homes of those towns ever since. Artificial sand dunes for towns with seawalls and wide beaches do nothing but give billions of tax dollars to politically connected union contractors and engineers for moving sand from one place to another every few years.
